Paula Towell's family began visiting Southwest Florida (SWFL) before she was born. Her father was a small aircraft pilot and would fly them down for the winter from Ohio. They did this for many years and finally, never went back to Ohio and SWFL became their new home. The family rented in the Bonita Beach area for a while and then bought on Fort Myers Beach where they resided for the next 40 years. Paula went to school locally and graduated from Cypress Lake High School. She went on to work in the hospitality business for the next 25 years and owned a restaurant and bar for a period during that time.

Being a resident in SWFL subjects you to many wonderful outdoor activities that are available all year long unlike some areas of the north. Her family has been involved in the fishing industry for shrimp and large fish off the coast in Paula’s early years and that grew on her. She has been an avid boater and "fisherwoman" most of her life and must say that she truly loves this gorgeous area and feels that the water surrounding it is partly hers and she must watch over it and take care of it. The waterways, bays, Gulf of Mexico, lakes and surrounding wetlands are very fragile and everyone moving here must take this into consideration and care for it as locals do.

This is the reason everyone wants to be here, and they all love SWFL and all it has to offer. This area holds some of the best fishing in the world and the most beautiful scenery you will ever come across. The natural beauty of the beaches and wildlife is why Paula never moved.
